Here are some tips for the acupuncturist and client!
Dermal Application of Essential Oils On Acupressure Points
Tea Tree and Pine are two oils that have affinities that Strengthen and our lungs and our Kidneys. Tea tree is well known to have anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties, and Scots Pine is hi in alpha-pinene, which is known will clear sinuses and increase the depth of respiration. In Chinese Medicine terms, Pine will aid the kidneys in grasping the Qi!
Points that I often use Tea Tree and Pine are Lung 9 (Tonfies Lung Qi and Organ) and Kidney 7 (the Metal Point on the Kidney Channel). This should be used in a 4% concentration. If you do not have oils in your practice, The one blend that I have been recommended is Support Po! It is a blend of Tea Tree, Pine, Rosemary, and lemon. Also, as a side note, this blend may be very beneficial for you or your clients to have more focus and clarity. Afterall, it Tonifies the Lungs and Metal Element.

Diffusing oils
Diffusing oils (indirect inhalation) that are known to be anti-bacterial and anti-viral will aid to cleans there air we breathe. I recommend a mist diffuser and not a candle diffuser because Essential Oils are flammable.
A significant benefit of diffusing certain oils is that they help to decrease External Pathogenic Influences, so while they may not have the most direct effect on the body, they do for the environment and the air we breathe. If you are diffusing a large amount of essential oils, it should be intermittent—for example, a half-hour on and a half-hour off. Intermittent diffusing ensures that the body does not become too accustomed to the oils and gives the body a chance to rest.
The best essential oils to diffuse are the ones that are the least viscous. An excellent example of essential oils that is likely beneficial at this time are Eucalyptus radiata, Eucalyptus globules, Rosalina (a favorite of mine) Scots Pine. Eucalyptus is high in the chemical constituent 1,8 cineole, which is a reason why they are known to be anti-bacterial, Anti-viral, and a mucolytic (also may benefit focus and memory). If you are diffusing oils and there are young children, make sure the diffuser is away from their faces.
